Saïf specialises in experimental and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element (FEA) structural analysis. Over the last 15 years he has focused on coupled calculations in CFD and FEA practicing a discipline known as Fluid Structure Interaction (FSI). He has developed these skills over the last twenty five years in the aerospace, motorsports and road-going automotive and marine industries working with companies like Sauber, Audi Sport, Haas-Ferrari, Airbus, Rolls-Royce and BAE Systems.

Aerospace Engineer

Saïf was born in London, England and was whisked away to Barbados as a 6 month old baby. He grew up and was schooled in Barbados until he was 17. He is the 1983-1985 recipient of the Lord Mountbatten Scholarship and attended the United World College in Montezuma, New Mexico, USA for two years, graduating with the International Baccalaureate.

From there, he attended Cornell University where he read mechanical and aerospace engineering. After various forays in motorsports in the USA, Canada and the United Kingdom, Saïf ended up doing a doctorate for the Ferrari Formula 1 team at City University in London, England, which he completed in May 2002.

He continues to pursue a career in motorsports and aerospace engineering going back and forth between the two as new and exciting challenges presented themselves.

He speaks French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese and is learning Italian.
