I am a degree-qualified professional, employed by Rolls-Royce Deutschland, specialising in the aero-thermal design, development and analysis of cooling systems for gas turbine combustion systems. My role includes support for existing in-service engines, and the development and implementation of cooling technology to meet future customer requirements and emissions legislation.
I have a working knowledge of modern gas turbine combustors, materials and coatings, heat transfer and aerodynamics and their application to the design of highly efficient cooling systems, as well as a suitable foundation in gas turbine engine thermodynamic cycles and aircraft operation. This knowledge has been gained from many years being part of, and leading, technical teams of graduate technologists, within programmes in civil and defence aerospace, research & technology demonstrators and marine.
