Sentient Blue, a start-up hybrid turbine design company based in Syracuse, NY and Parma, Italy, was recently selected to participate in the Nextcorps and Rev: Hardware Scaleup Program. This program selects start-ups from around Upstate New York to participate in a mentorship designed to assist start-ups in the production of manufacturing roadmaps for scaling prototypes into easily mass-produced units. The program encourages clean energy technology and building the economy in New York.
Sentient Blue has created a hybrid turbine for use in unmanned aerial vehicles, commonly known as drones. These turbines will increase flight time from about thirty minutes up to two hours. Sentient Blue will continue testing of the prototype in October 2019 and will deliver the first products to customers in approximately February 2020.
Through its participation in the Hardware Scaleup program, Sentient Blue reaffirms its mission to create products more environmentally friendly than the currently available alternative and to stimulate the Upstate economy through local presence and production.
